Sue Dewhurst
Sue has over ten years' experience in internal communications, working with organizations such as Royal Mail and Barclays. She is known for combining strategic thinking with a pragmatic approach to making sure communication solutions 'actually work' at the sharp end. She is particularly interested in change communication and was latterly Director of Internal Communications for ntl, where she developed the internal communication strategy to help steer the organization through its financial restructuring.
Sue is passionate about personal and professional development and is a trained co-active coach and licensed careers coach, she also takes the lead on education issues for the CIPR's Internal Communications Alliance.
Liam FitzPatrick
Liam FitzPatrick has twenty years' experience in communications both in-house and as a consultant working in the UK and internationally across a range of sectors. His in-house experience includes working as global head of internal communications at Marconi during its financial restructuring.
Liam's teaching experience includes lecturing on the MBA program at Imperial College in London as well as being a visiting lecturer at several universities and colleges.
With Sue Dewhurst, he was one of the team which drafted the Intercomm matrix - a model for describing the skills and experience which internal communicators need at different stages of their careers.
Liam runs Working: communication strategies - a consultancy focused on improving the quality of communications operations in organizations.
